"The Clod and The Pebble" Essay

"The Clod and The Pebble"
William Blake

This poem is about a Clod that is a soft mud ball that talk about love as a possitive thing and that it´s to share but a Pebble  that is hard as stone talks about his point of view that is all the opposite of the past mencioned. This Essay will talk about different point of view of love.

The Clod´s point of view is that love is to share and not for itself to please. This Clod may be in love or all his expierences of a relationship went well. "Love seeketh not itself to please" Love is something marvelous that "Builds a Heaven in Hell´s despair"

While on the other hand the Pebble´s point of view is that love in nothing good and that "Love seeketh only self to please". The Pebble could have not so conventional love stories. He think that love is the worst "Builds a Hell in Heaven´s despite"

In my opinion I am in none of the sides, I am in the middle, I think that love is to share but it´s also for self pleassure. Also love is sometime rather megative when they stop loving each other. But while you are in love is one of the best sensation.

  1. This essay is unfinished. The conclusion is missing.
Complete it and consider the following:

    - The clod and the pebble are symbols, not persons. Instead of writing "This Clod may be in love or all his expierences of a relationship went well." try with "This Clod may represent all those people who are in love or all their experiences...."
    - Refer to the materials the clod and the pebble are made of as symbols too.
    - Don´t finish a paragraph with a quotation. After it you should always expand on what ideas these phrases communicate.
    - Write your own conclusion: what are your views on love? Do you agree with either the clod or the pebble?

You need to do all this to get a passing mark. Come on!!
